The Blood Management Critical Pathways CME Champion Teleconference Series continues with timely, practical information that will help you implement effective blood management techniques and strategies, and keep up-to-date with the latest federal, state, and Joint Commission compliance regulations. On September 16, Dr. Ford discusses the impact of blood transfusion on patient outcomes, costs, and resource utilization. On October 11, Dr. Goodnough will present on the detection, evaluation, and management of iron-restricted erythropoiesis. The November 12 teleconference is hosted again by Dr. Ford and features highlights from the SABM 2010 9th Annual Meeting. Dr. Shander ends the series on December 6, with a presentation on preparing for the upcoming Joint Commission blood management performance measures.
